A team clad in protective gear sprayed disinfectant in and around Plett on Monday and Tuesday. Use of the South African product called F10SC - originally created as a veterinary disinfectant - ‘high touch’ areas in the town were targeted including taxi ranks, petrol stations and shopping centres. The idea was the brainchild of local vet Dr Jacqui de Villiers (pictured) and was realised through a joint effort by Bitou Municipality, local business, Plett Tourism, F10 producers, and the Covid-19 task team skipper by Dr Nicki Whiteman.
