PG Glass achieves top accolade in first year of new ownership

PG Glass branches in Plettenberg Bay and Sedgefield achieved the group’s Top Achiever awards for 2009. A gala event was held in Johannesburg and these franchises were commended for their growth, sales and service in just under a year of new management.
Franchise owner Rordon Tait bought the businesses 11 months ago and says that it had taken hard work and persistence to change consumers’ perceptions regarding PG Glass.
“The management structure for Knysna, Sedgefield and Plettenberg Bay is entirely new, and we have developed a service delivery programme to enhance our business on all levels,” he says, adding that technical and administrative teams have pulled together to offer outstanding service and sales throughout tough economic times.
Sedgefield is the smallest franchise of the trio and won its award in the Most Growth in a Small Franchise category, while PG Plett was awarded the Glass South Africa (GSA) Achiever Award. “Both these awards are a great accomplishment and one that we are very proud of,” says Tait.
Confident that the franchises will achieve these accolades again for 2010, Tait looks forward to growing the local product range.
