Entertainment Diary
Garden Route Concerts presents Mellow Music Sessions at Chaplin’s in Woodmill Lane. Catch George band Aiming for Autumn on September 10 (free entrance). Their acoustic music is fun and laidback and, other than originals, they enjoy covering bands such as Credence Clearwater Revival, Plush, Tom Petty and Jon Foreman. On September 17, young, gorgeous and gifted Capetonian Lara Frances performs (R30 cover). Her new album, Little Rendition, is a delicious mixture of nu-folkish pop and indie with the merest hint of rock occasionally shimmering through – and the result is a soothing, tranquil experience that anoints all the senses. All shows are at 7:30 for 8pm – phone 044 382 0886 for info.
Plett Barnyard Theatre presents Cedric Vandenschrik’s tribute to Queen, The Show Must Go On, on Friday September 17. Queen’s music has a timeless appeal that has only been equalled by a handful of artists. Powerful son...
